Please constructive advice only. I have narrowed my choices down to these 4 schools, but am having a hard time deciding. I want to do pre-med( (though not sure about my major yet). What are the Pro's and Con's of each school?

Note: The Brown acceptance is completely hypothetical, I would have to enroll at another school before finding out the final decision, but just in case it comes to that point.

I would give Hopkins the edge mainly based on your interest and the fact that the science/Pre-Med is the signature program at Hopkins along with BME and International Studies.

Also, Hopkins has nicer winters than Chicago and it’s 50% smaller than Penn which has 10,000 undergraduates (2,500 per class). Hopkins only starts 1,200 students per year.

It’s a tough call. I really like University of Chicago as an overall school, and I think it’s the most similar to Hopkins on your list (although Chicago has a core and Hopkins doesn’t). That said, the weather is a bit nicer in Baltimore. Chicago is a very quirky and intellectual school. I personally love that type of environment but not everyone does. Hopkins is very strong in bio, neuro, BME, writing sems, IS, public health, and several of the humanities while Chicago is top 5 in the world for math, physics, economics, and the like (I say this as a soon-to-be grad of Hopkins’ math and econ departments).

I think Brown is on the lower end academically, but the environment is great (I actually applied there ED). I don’t really know much about Penn so I can’t give you a good assessment.

I like all of these schools equally so hopefully the visits will help lol.
