Penn vs Brown

I want to major in economics. I can't make up my mind which school I will apply ED to. I was wondering if anyone could tell me some comparisons that might help me choose. I know the SAT's and stuff are pretty much the same.

Penn and Brown are very different schools. Why don’t you do more research about each of them and see what makes each school appeal to you? Penn is very renowned for economics, but also consider the vibe of each school. Although Brown did not appeal to me, a lot of people seem to like the Open curriculum.
If you do not have a clear first choice by the end of the summer, you probably do not want to apply early. You may end up very disappointed. Do not apply to one over the other because you think you have a better chance of getting in; this can cause a lot of regret later on. Your college choice is something you want to be thrilled about. Once you make the decision, no matter what it is, you don’t want to have any major or unresolved doubts. It’s your decision though, so just think about what you want personally.

what do you want to do with an economics degree? if what you’re actually looking for is finance, then Wharton is far superior. otherwise, do your research about the school’s personality and decide which is a better fit for you. good luck!

A better major for later getting an mba or law school degree.
