Penn vs. Columbia ED chances

I cant decide between Upenn or Columbia for ED. I love Columbia to death but I also really like Penn. I basically would be extremely happy at both but I think my intuition says Columbia.
I have a 4.5 GPA weighted and around a 3.7 unweighted.
34 ACT 2230 SAT I took it once,
4's and 5's on APs
National Merit Semifinalist
lots of ec's, started my own business and charity, i have a pretty awesome essay.
BUT:
I cant decide where I should ED. I know my grades arent all A's, but my scores are good and my essays and ec's are pretty standout.
Upenn;s ED rate is 33% and regular is 16% but I know they place a lot of consideration on legacies and sports neither of which I have. but im not sure. these are just rumors.
Columbia ED is 22% with regular of 11%. I have no idea about who gets in for ED.
so what should I do???

^I don’t know where you got your Columbia numbers, but with an overall acceptance rate of 9% (ED and RD combined), the ED rate is closer to 18-19%, and the RD rate is closer to 6-7%.

Regardless, if Columbia is your unequivocal first choice, go for ED!

wow it’s amazing, I am also facing the exact dilemma except with the addition of Yale. Anyway I think you have a solid chances at both. What are you planning on studying?
could you chance me
here is my stats:

What do you think my chances at
UPenn
Columbia
Cornell
are for ED???
What about Yale??

luvtodance- u have a pretty good chance at both Penn and Columbia. However, you did not mention which major you want. If its anything at Wharton, you have an uphill battle but for anything else id say you have a 50 - 75 % chance.
sidrak- the fact that your Ethiopian will definitely help but its hard to get a good read without actual SAT scores.

Hey well you are more statistically qualified than I am [SAT-wise]…and I am applying to the same schools! Best of luck :)
