Penn Waitlisted 2016 Thread

How much of a difference would that make lol?

I just got in off the waitlist today! my stats are in other posts… I will probably still go to Dartmouth, but I definitely have some thinking to do!

How were you notified that you got in today?

I believe Tigerhopeful is my daughter - she got an e-mail at around 3:20 and then had to leave for a haircut or she would have responded.

Hello- just got off the wait list today as well- an email was sent to me at 3:13!

Now that I’m reading this thread and saw your post, I’m curious - where were you going to go, and will you go to Penn?

Just got off the waitlist today through email notification to the College of Arts and Sciences! I’ve never been so happy for something in my life!!! To everybody still waiting to hear back, I truly hope the best for you. No matter where you go to college, I hope you have an amazing time!

Congratulations!! i’m also a student waiting for the decision, but i’m truly happy for you. what time did you get the e-mail, and did you get it from your regional officer? Thanks for sharing!

Also, did you send any additional materials?

Its kind of shocking to me especially since Ive already committed to USC, and today I got into Penn, which I never really expected. Im now really torn between the two, especially since I got half tuition at USC. Im looking to major in some kind of engineering, so if anyone has any advice on which school is better for that major that would be helpful.

Those of you who got in…did you guys send any additional materials for waitlist? Did you guys get an email from the regional officer?

Ahhh…I’m losing hope now. Maybe this is it :(

So if you haven’t gotten an email, that’s it then? Well, that’s sad :(.

I don’t want to think that way, but I saw the last year’s waitlist thread, and some people were accepted on the 19th(which was also thursday), and rest of the people were notified a week later that they’re rejected or put on to the extended waitlist(which I believe very very few or none get accepted.)

So basically, a no. Very sad now. Ah well. To those who did get in, good luck at Penn and I hope you all will be very happy there!

Got an email around 3:20 today too.
Now I’m really torn between Penn and UChicago. Suggestions anyone??

I got accepted today at 9:37 A.M. I sent in a letter of continued interest and an updated transcript. I wish you all the best of luck.

And for those of you who didnt recieve an email yet, don’t lose hope. I applied to a grand total of 14 colleges and only got into four of those schools.

Anyone who applied to UPenn has great potential so I wish you all the very best of luck.

To those of you still waiting to hear back, I really sincerely hope that everything works out for you!

And I sent in a letter of continued interest, an updated resume, a letter of recommendation from my principal, an updated transcript, and a research statement. I also had my principal call my admissions officer. I heard through an email today at 3:12

Really, I wish the greatest amount of happiness to everybody who is still waiting to hear back.

Congrats everyone! I wish I get in too :(

Is anyone waiting from Oregon too?

AHH soo scared!! I haven’t checked my email because I got food poisoning and was confined to bed all of saturday! going to check my email!
