guys please leave anything at all

yes, u are way to young to start thinking about college and stuff. but do think about raising your PSAT score for next yr. read A LOT over the summer, study grammar, etc.

thanks...any1 else

You're never too young tostart thinking about this and soph year is a good point to really plan. College counselors for the wealthy start before highschool, so it's just stupid for anyone to tell you otherwise.

You totally need to focus on the SAT scores. Your PSATs are totally out of range for your schools. You should aim for a 2150 (215 on PSAT) to be in the running. And yes everyone, even as a URM. It would be 2250 for a non URM.

ur URM status will help u alot. Maintain your gpa. Get good grades at math -- really helps at B-schools. Aim for an 800 on SAT 1 Math and Math Level 2 (SAT 2). Do a couple of internships.

i never like it when people think that as a URM you don't need a higher SAT. It's true i'm a URM but i don't like people thinking just cause your one you don't have to work as hard. kid just focus on breaking 2000 and i'm glad your doing lots of APs. do well in them and try not to get a GPA lower than 3.8. Start looking for summer programs (good ones). there is a MITES program at MIT that is free and its a minorities program. look into that. and start looking for scholarships now!!! good luck

by the way the first time i took the PSAT it was pitiful worse than you. but you still have time to gain knowledge and i even broke into all the middle 50% of the colleges i applied to except MIT but i did get deferred from MIT which is 10x better than straight out rejected.

thanks guys for the great responses...just out of curiosity what do u think i should aim for on my psat during senior year...lastly is physics a much needed class in high school, or should i take ap chem and ap bio instead...one more question, i got a B in 8th grade algebra, it will count on my high school transcript...if i dont accept it i will hav a 4.0, do u think i should keep it and hope it doesnt hurt too much, or will colleges care and be better of dropping it.

can you drop it later?? if you can wait and see what happens. also if your taking AP bio and chem you should be fine unles your majoring in physics but i doubt you will right?? by the way you can't take the psat senior year you have to take the SAT

sorry i meant sophmore year....

any1 know what would be a good score to try and get next year on the psat

try to get them all in 600s but the most important psat is in junior year. those are the ones colleges use to start contacting you

thanks a lot not many people take me seriously since im just a freshman....
