Hook: Legacy. I have four alumni in my family that donate to the university. One went to the Wharton which I know is extremely competitive if that helps.

I intend to major in biology.

Thank you!

Are you applying ED? I think that’s when legacy can really give you a boost (someone can correct me if I’m wrong).

Regardless, definitely get that SAT up. (For comparison, I had a 2330 and was waitlisted.) Good luck!!

Everything is good except your SAT, which you should try to raise. Being a legacy and donor sure helps, though. I think you’ve got a solid chance, especially if you can raise your SAT 100+ points.

Great GPA and rank, but your SAT scores will need serious work if you want a solid chance at getting in. Your EC’s are good but without any leadership positions, it can seem to colleges that you’re simply going through a checklist of activities - try to become student council president/soccer captain etc. if possible. If you round out those sections of the application, I’d say you have as good of a chance as anyone, but remember that it’s one of the most competitive schools in the country and will turn down people more qualified than you. No matter how good of an applicant you are, it’s never a good idea to set your heart on one college. Good luck!!
