I was wondering if someone could help me understand the Biological Basis of Behavior program at Penn a little more, I visited the website, but it doesn't really answer my questions.

So, it's a pre-med major right? and is it directed kinda towards those interested in neurosciences? I see that it is in the department of psychology, which i'm not really all that interested in..but i am in neurosciences...

is it a hard major? what does it entail? are a lot of people enrolled in it? do you still get biology, chemistry, everything that med school requires?

am i correct in saying that BBB is mostly, if not all biology/psychology depending on what classes you take? what happens if i would want to take some chemistry too?

I personally find that the neuroscience concentration in the biology department does a better job of covering the pre-med requirements in the major than BBB (i.e. there’s more overlap) With the bio concentration, obviously most of your classes will be more science based. With BBB, there are several tracks within BBB, but from what I can tell it tends to be more psychology based rather than science based.
