As someone who has been to all but (I think) one Penn football game (home & away) and all but 6 Penn basketball games in the past 3 years, there is more of a rivarly between Penn/Princeton basketball than there is Harvard/Yale anything. According to kids at H/Y, no one really cares about the H/Y football game anymore, since neither school truly respects their athletic dept.

Maybe it has to do with proximity, but hating Princeton is one of the most amusing things about Penn. I proudly wear my "I wouldn't root for Princeton, even if they were playing Iraq" T-shirt whenever I'm in Princeton.

The Big Five is also a big deal, and the coaches and teams are working together to make it moreso.

I would also argue that the following schools have Pennis Envy when it comes to basketball: Brown, Yale, Cornell.
Columbia & Harvard might as well not have basketball teams. And Dartmouth has the granite of New Hampshire in its brain. Which I will repeat ad nauseum until they change their alma mater.

As for football, it generally comes down to either Penn or Harvard for the Ivy title, but I wouldn't say it was a rivalry.
