Do I have a fair chance of getting into Pennstate university park?</p>

<p>yes. I’m instate. I’m taking 6 ap classes this year and took 2 last year. I did cross country and swimming for four years. Also I was in a lot of clubs such as academic clubs, science clubs, and many other.</p>

i grew up in pittsburgh my whole life and almost went to penn state–then i didn’t lol!
it says on their site the average admitted applicant has from a 3.57gpa onward
and a 1740 + sat
so i’d try to raise both of them to make yourself more competitive because god only knows how many people are applying this year!!</p>

<p>Well I can’t take the SAT’s anymore. I have worked at 3 different stores as work experience my whole life. I worked at a beauty supply store, variety store, and a bakery store. I wrote a real nice personal statement too. I have a feeling that I will get into penn state. I also was an ESL (establish second language).</p>

<p>i got an 1800 on my sats. I got 750 on math. 550 on writing and 500 on reading. DO i have a shot of getting in?</p>

<p>well you have a decent shot but your definitely not guaranteed… write really good essays and that will increase your chances a lot! so will good teacher recs… Good luck!</p>

<p>i’ve done way too many extra curricular activites. I wrote a nice essay and I got nice recommendation letters. I think i’ll get in.</p>

<p>I got in this year and both my math & verbal SATs were lower than yours, so I’m sure you’ll get in to University Park. However, I don’t think they view letters of recommendation since they are so large, but the worst admissions can do is neglect your letters. Don’t sweat it.</p>
