I couldn’t get into the main campus. I just wanted to know if harrisburg is a good school. I got into the DUS program. Is it possible for me to tranfer to university park after one year. Is there anyway i can change major and be tranfered because they dont have the classes nessesary for my major?
PSU Harrisburg is one of the larger and better branch campuses. Usually you have to spend 2 years at the branch campus before going to main campus for the last 2 years. There are only a few majors that allow you to transfer to UP after one year, and this is only if the sophomore-year courses aren’t available at the branch campus.
As DUS you’ll have to take classes at Harrisbug for two years.
Either you want to do that or you’d rather attend another university.
If you don’t have other affordable choices, there are still colleges accepting applications.
Are you a PA resident? College Data shows just 12% of students living on campus, so that is just a few hundred students.
The cost for OOS is 45k and that doesn’t seem worth the money.
@ScaredNJDad1 I agree that out of state tuition is high but OOS tuition, room, and board for Harrisburg is more like $35,000.
I see the OOS cost of attendance at 42k, which is always low. Even at 35k, that would put it on par with many private schools for average cost of attendance.
The more residential branch campus is Erie. You could ask to switch to DUS Erie (the Behrend College).
Are you from PA?
