I’m currently a junior interested in applying to Pennsylvania ED next year. I’m curious as to what the typical GPA/SAT scores of accepted applicants are? Also, I’m aware that some schools look for certain personalities/characters in their applicants (such as the University of Chicago, which has been said to see whether or not an applicant has a genuine desire to learn) - does Penn look for any certain personality/character?

ofcourse they care very much about character/persona. if its worth anything, collegeboard.com rated charac/persona as one of the more important qualities penn looks for. few schools look at only scores.

http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/applying/profile.php ---this should be a really nice insight into what your going against. but dont get too scared, remember, theyre only avgs.

Thanks mengcheng for the link. But, does anyone know the average GPA of accepted ED students?

yea... i'm curious too... because uw... looks really bad for me

GPA is different for each high school. Just try to do the absolute best you can because a 4.0 GPA at High School A can very well be better than a 5.0 GPA at High School F.
