We got out senior surveys today and I didn't do mine yet but people were making a big deal about it, apparently there was a Most Liekly to Live at Home option and when I saw that I thought it was weird compared to the other positive ones.

But at school I'm quiet and keep to myself, some people have given me crap. And they still do but I've let it go lately. There's this one group who makes fun of everyone...like all the time. And our class has less than 60 kids so I see them everyday. My friend came up to me today and told they had been talking about me in class and said they were gonna vote for me for Most Likely to Live at Home. She told me not to worry about it because they voted for themselves on Best Dressed and Best Hair and they're dumb. But still it bothered me. Made me feel like a loser.

idk it just did, using the yearbook to make jabs at people.

Plus I'm living on campus next year...

My school doesn’t do senior surveys but they sound stupid to me. Don’t let it bother you and just focus on finishing off HS well.

That is awful. I can’t believe that the s hook would let something like that be in the yearbook.

And those people are really nasty. But keep in mind that they aren’t the majority of the group. It really depends on how many people are in that group to know your chances of getting that “most likely” superlative. If there are on,y five people in that group, you have nothing to worry about. You’ve got the rest of the class that votes also. And hey, if that group is the low-effort, low-grades type, one of them might get the superlative because your other classmates can tell that that person isn’t going to make it. Or the class clown could get it. I really think that is what the award was originally intended for: those that proclaimed themselves as underachievers because they either wanted attention or honestly didn’t give a crap about school. It wasn’t made for people like you.

If you do get the award, don’t worry about it. You know you only got because people wanted to make fun of you . So what? You are still going to college, which might be better than what any of your classmates are doing. And when you succeed in college, you can gleefully watch their mouths drop. I’m hoping they’re the popular ditzy type, so that they become baristas. That would make revenge even more sweet.

It could be also that they are jealous of you. If you have good grades, they might be doing this to make themselves feel better, since they don’t think they will ever do as well as you. Who knows? The point is that it doesn’t really matter what “superlative” you get in high school; because in 10, even 5 years from now, no one is going to care.

Thank you Joy and Skittle I was confused on why it was an option also because of it’s demeaning nature. I got to a small Catholic school, would expect a little more consideration.

beatles11, now you’re the one being rude and insensitive. It’s obvious that the senior survey question wasn’t well thought out. I mean what kind of insight does “most likely to live at home” give? Just realize that the group is acting like d-bags. The irony is that they’re more likely to be the ones who live at home because, given their attitude, they will be the ones who can’t secure finances for themselves. Given the small population of your school, it really doesn’t say anything about you. Just means that a small group thought it would be amusing to put you in that category. But it means absolutely nothing at all, esp. considering you’re a senior who’s gonna move on to do better things than deal with high school issues.

It could be worse, trust me. I was awarded “Biggest Nose” and “Biggest Ears,” and I’m female! Devastated me. But dblazer is right - I went on and accomplished a lot and married a great guy.

Ty dblazer and Maine, I also heard just now one of the girls voted me and this other dude ( I never talk to) most likely to get married because we’d make a cute-ugly couple.
