This is where this girl wants to go to college.

"Harvard
Yale
NYU

And if for some reason I do not get into those, my safety schools are:
UNH
Brown
BC
BU"

She has brown as a safety? lol, she doesn't get it. Her stats are like just barely top 10% of crappy public school, 2050 SAT1.

well good luck to her, but she'll learn and hopefully sooner rather than later.

hopefully. "if for some reason I do not get in,"....I don't think she understands that there doesn't need to be a real reason to reject her.

She still has Boston University and University of New Hampshire.

Maybe she's confusing Brown with another school?

Students who consider X University a safety when X is clearly not a safety for anyone usually bug me, even more so when they're aware of college admissions.

Interesting, but I don't think such a topic merits a new thread. Especially since there is really nothing to discuss about, besides slamming this poor girl.

it continues.

me: "Brown is a safety school? Ivy league colleges are safe for no one."

her: "Yepp, Brown as my safety...I know I'll get in there."

me: then why isn't NYU safe? You do know that it is much easier to get into NYU than brown.

what'd she say to that? she probably mistook brown..or she's like the dean's daughter -_-

Perhaps she meant Brown College instead of Brown University?

College Search - Brown College - At a Glance

HA HA. NAH.

Eh. She'll realize it when the time comes...

I did when applying for summer programs...and that helped put things in perspective for college
