But if you were a guy that knew what’s who he was referring to then you will not assume that he’s the one coming home. But the arguement is the “shaking/shake my head” phrase. It’s an action not a command—> “logic over grammar.”

Yeah, I think you’ve made it pretty clear that you don’t believe in grammar.

Me no not believeth in grammar this thing call I do.

For this situation, go with the flow. But avoid such a situation again; i.e. stop lying immediately.

If I were you, I’d come clean. If someone talks to you about it one on one, then just really casually explain that it was a mixup.

But really, you shouldn’t have told people to start with.

@cheerios she/he didn’t start the rumors her/his friend did.

IMO, pretty stupid for his or her friends to assume that. Why not just ask about Harvard and make things clear?

ukw, this guy will end your rumor.

Aaand that’s why you don’t put your first and last names on a username on the Internet where everyone can see your info…even someone from school. Ha.

What’s ukw?

Ask it in the new topic.
Because then we would go off topic.

Unknown writer? I don’t know.

But anyway… yeah. /end thread

ukw=u know what…i think

I understand this, and it certainly isn’t the OP’s fault that her/his friend started the rumor. However, the fact that OP just went along with it and accepted the congratulations was probably not the best response. I understand that it was one of those split-second reaction things when it’s easier to just go along with it rather than explain the whole situation (since I’ve been in plenty of those), but still. My point isn’t that it’s the OP’s fault for starting the rumor, since that’s clearly not what happened, but rather that they should have taken action sooner to clamp off the rumors.
