OK is this something worth going to? Has anyone else gone? Do they send an invite to just about everyone...? or do you have to be exceptionally clever?

bump ^^^^^ is this in the wrong forum or something ANYYYONNNNEEE???

Never heard of it. Try googling it?
From my experience, most of those conference invitation things get sent out to everyone, but I don't think I've heard of this one, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.
I'm so helpful. I know. Sorry.

i got that before
you can throw it away

HUH what .. why should I throw it away? What's wrong with it?
Did you go?

YourMaster, did you really attend and hate it or is it just not prestigious enough for your attention? Yes, it costs significant amounts of money, but I have heard that it's a great experience.

errr YourMaster errrr are you there???

lol no i didnt go

so then why'd you say throw it away ?????

I threw mine from last year away too. costs too much. Try volunteering or something during your summer instead.

I got that both this year and last year. Not esp interested since it costs a TON of money.

BTW, this thread had been discussed before...

It's not as prestigious as it may sound. It's a lot of money, though it was probably a lot of fun. I got one of these letters last year, and so did many people from my school.

If you are willing to spend money over the summer and want to challenge yourself, try going to a summer program at a university, I think it holds more respect for college admissions. I went to Cornell Summer College last year and it was awesome.. I learned a lot too.. got college credit.. helped me decide what I want to do for undegraduate studies. If you're wondering, the money i spent for a three week program was about 6,000 dollars total including transportation, food, shopping, etc.

BTW, this thread had been discussed before...

oopppsss sorry- didn't realise that anyway- thanks all for your replies

I went their last summer to go to Austalia and New Zealand.
BEST experience of my life. Taught me a lot about myself and my personality. It was so cool snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef and hearing a live presentation from the Sydney opera house.
If money is not a problem, GO. I don't regret it one bit. And besides, considering all that you do, 6,000 isn't so bad.
