People who are wondering about the ARIS card

I called up the bookstore and they told me it was mandatory. The book is only $60 so I doubt it's a problem for anyone getting a copy since there are only new ones. I think it's used to track work or something? Idk, but hoped this info helps.

Btw, none of the books are in yet so they can start answering questions after 3 days. And they're getting about 800 chem 6A books so don't do the reservation thing!

So we HAVE to buy the version with the aris card in it? We can’t buy another version that we find online?

Unless all versions come with a aris card standard…

Darn bookstore monopoly!!!

None of the versions that are found online says anything about an aris card… so I guess we have no choice but to buy them from the bookstore. :(

So when do we buy them?

Whenever the bookstore gets them I guess, when we move in? They couldn’t answer my “Alice w/ Excel” question since they weren’t in stock yet though. I don’t need MS Excel if that’s what that is, because I already have it, bought it from this awesome store called “The Pirate Bay”

Anybody know about the questionnaire for the Calculus Early Transcendentals (the math20 series book) package at the bookstore?

@leukybear I’ll call them up on friday about that one

@leukybear: I emailed one of the Math 20C professors about that question. Hopefully she’ll respond back to me soon.

Cool make sure to post back when she does respond! :)

Okay I just got back a response from Professor Zhang. Here’s what she wrote:

The book that I showed her was this one:
[Amazon.com: Calculus: Early Transcendentals (9781429210737): Jon Rogawski: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Calculus-Early-Transcendentals-Jon-Rogawski/dp/1429210737)

It’s the exact same version as the required one (I think), only without the questionnaire. Too bad I don’t have the emails of the other Math 20C professors, or else I’d ask them too.

Hmm well you can always photocopy the questionnaire from a friend or willing classmate…

I think this questionnaire that the bookstore info is saying is custom made by ucsd as its not listed officially by Rogawski and the publisher…
