you received an oasis “missing documents” link and were rejected?

Yeah, I received the link today with a date of 3/28 (after having been updated 3/26) and can log onto OASIS. However, I still have the rejection letter sitting right in front of my face :(.

I’m sorry happyjr. :(

You have great stats too. That’s very odd. :/

Thanks, I’ve been watching this blog for a while and must say that I’m pretty disappointed :(

ohmygosh. happyjr, if ur rejected, there’s no doubt in my mind that i’ll be rejected too. well, there goes my dream school.

Thanks :(. I was so excited when I FINALLY got an update…and now I’m pretty disappointed (I thought I had a decent shot). There goes my dream school as well…but good luck to everyone who still hasn’t heard!

im sorry to hear that happy jr. there goes all our theories!! You seem like a great applicant but youve gotten into other great schools!! Now that we proved one theory wrong what about being able to log into the explore USC and do that rsvp thing? Were you able to do that?

Nope, I can’t log into the Explore USC thing
Me and my dad think the rejection could be due to the fact that, as I am a NMF, they didn’t want to give me the Presidential Scholarship (since I am below the typical stats of scholarship recipients)…but who knows?

for the national merit corporation, what was your designated school?
i know NMF’s who had lower stats than you and got in.

so you had a total of only 3 updates (12/11, 3/26, 3/28)?
i wonder if people who got the oasis link are in the same boat as you?
hmm…
i had a 2/3, 3/6, 3/19, 3/26, 3/28 update. but didn’t receive anything today.

I’m sorry to hear that you were rejected happyjr. With those stats, you should’ve gotten in. I guess the adcoms were right all along about status updates From this point on it’s unpredictable.

Thanks, I guess it just wasn’t meant to be
I only had 3 status updates and USC was listed as my number 1 (my dad called and confirmed this)
I applied to Annenberg which is also perhaps another factor (since they are very selective). I was hoping for the Presidential Scholarship at USC, as that was the only way we could have afforded it…but I guess something must have been wrong with my application
On a lighter note, here are the schools I DID get into:
UCSD
UCI
UCSB (Regent’s Scholar- $6,000/year)
UC Davis
UC Berkeley

i’m sorry for all these questions…
did you receive the financial aid letters in march?

im sorry but i’ve been admitted weeks ago but am so confuised w/ this OASIS LINk stuff
can someone tell me what u guys are talknig about?

read a couple of the threads…it explains everything.

Candy45:
I didn’t apply for financial aid, as my parents earn too much to qualify but not enough to pay regular tuition (NMF scholarship was the only thing that made USC a possibility)
I thought my essays were quite strong…I just can’t figure out what went wrong

happyjr…the fact that you are from california(unless i’m mistaken) makes it more competitive…remember that different regions have different admissions counselors…so i’m guessing that there were many NMF from california who designated usc as their number1…your stats im sure were high enough

where is the link at?

i didn’t apply either, but still got those letters

london- it’s on your status page and say something like “check missing docs”
