People who had 3.0-3.4 GPAs...

Where are you attending college!

And what did you get on your SAT??

Just curious because I'm getting tired of reading about where kids with 4.0s are going because that really doesn't help MY college selection

DPC - Click on “NEW! Stats Profiles” in the left-hand menu, then “Search the Stats Profiles.” Then, under “Search Scores,” choose “GPA - Unweighted” and “less then” and type in 3.5; then on the next line, “GPA - Unweighted” and “greater than” and type in 3.0, and click “Search.” You can do this for the 2012 and 2011 classes. You’ll find that the majority of people never went back and input their esults, but some did.

sorry haha

Same here!
Im going to be a senior this year, and all these 4.0 with 2000 Ap’s are not helping me. Someone with a 3.0-3.4 gpa and 0 AP’s and 0 extracurriculars.

So where are you guys applying?

3.42 here on a 7-point scale. Definitely applying to:

UT Knoxville (safety)
Georgia Tech
Virginia Tech
Purdue
UIUC

Maybe applying to:

Penn State
U Florida

Thanks dog.

We need some other non super geniuses in here..

It really depends on how competitive your high school is though.

IF your high school is super uber competitive and you’ve taken hard courses, you still have a good shot at some places.

People in the bottom quarter of my school are going to TCU, UT, T A and M, Colorado School of Mines, etc. and they all have about 2000 sat’s.

2.99 GPA soon to graduate UCSB. that is what cc is for

actually, I thought the point of CC is to make other people feel inferior.

I was actually jk

what does UCSB stand for??

it stands for “google it”

To be fair my GPA would be a 3.7 on a 10-point scale, but my school’s grading scale is ■■■■■■■■ -_-

My middle son had about a 3.3 in high school, 690 verbal, 560 math–he is at the University of Denver where he is very happy and doing very well.–much better grades than high school because now that he is mature he focuses on what he needs to do. It’s an excellent school for late bloomers.

University of Denver has small classes, a lot of interaction with professors, and all kinds of professional opportunities. It has a very pretty campus in a lovely area of a fabulous city and the facilities on campus are amazing, especially the business and science facilities. Dorms are very good. Very eclectic student body from alll over.

Other schools he applied to and was accepted at: Syracuse, Pitt, Indiana, Michigan State, Colorado (Boulder), Arizona, Arizona State.

^^ Woah thank you. I was thinking of applying to some of those school but seeing people with mostly stellar stats apply there were getting me discouraged. Your son has almost the same exact stats as me. Except for that 690 in CR.

Thanks, maybe they should make a sub forum for the “average” people. Or we should keep this thread alive.

Bump…

What you do in college matters much more than where you go to college. My dad graduated summa (sp?) cum laude from a 3rd tier university with a double major and now has a 6-figure income.

I think it’s fair to say this site makes you worry a lot more than you should be.

It depends on your resume/connections/work experience and college GPA as well. With the aforementioned, a state school grad can even beat out an Ivy grad in the work world.

Anyone else!

Where do you plan on applying?
