People who live South of Wilshire....

How's life treating you?

I'm considering living there next year. Have you noticed any glaring issues with living so far away?

Is the cheaper price/nicer place worth the inconvenience?

how far south? personally, I can’t wait to get out of this area…

SO much better than north of Wilshire (i lived on Glenrock last year).

I’m currently living at 10933 Rochester Ave, and we have a huge corner room and 4 parking spots. Paying $600/month (same price as Glenrock but so much cleaner, bigger, and a nicer manager).

It’s not inconvenient especially since the shuttle leaves every 5-10 minutes and it only takes 3 minutes to walk to the shuttle stop from my apartment.

The ONLY inconvenience is not being able to take the shuttle home after 5:30pm since I have classes that end at 6pm. But I have friends that park on campus so I can always get a ride back home.

Oh so you don’t regret it at all?

That eases the thought a little bit. The only downside is that I have to be late on campus about 3x a week.

An alternate way to get back home in the evening would be to take the evening van that runs until midnight(?). You can get dropped off at Lot 32, and then all you have to do is cross Wilshire and walk back to your apartment.

Yes, evening van service runs through 11PM, M-R. Will make a stop at Lot 32. Campus shuttle goes to Lot 32 but stops service at 6PM.

If you live closer to Santa Monica Blvd, the buses (Culver City, Metro, Big Blue/Santa Monica) run pretty late and they run relatively often.
