I don't know if there are threads about this, but since Stanford waitlisted 6% of people this year I'm trying to gauge what this means for future decisions (namely for Cornell, Brown, UPenn, etc when the ivy decisions come out on Monday). Where did people end up last year who were waitlisted from Stanford? Are there threads up from last year telling what schools people got into after being waitlisted?

Excellent thread.

I would love to know some responses.

They most likely aren't coming to this forum anymore, which is why it might be better to post this in a more general forum (for example, search/selection).

Yeah, I realize that. I was just saying it to pretty much everyone in general (in case people know of friends, siblings, classmates, and people from CC that they read about), and asking if anyone stumbled upon a thread that covered that.

I thought posting a thread about Stanford waitlistees on a general thread because might be too specific (as opposed to a general 'where do waitlistees at top schools end up,' but that would differ from school to school because different schools make use of their waitlists differently), but I guess that's a good idea.

also want to know...

Okay, since nobody is responding, I'll contribute.

I know someone from a nearby school who was rejected SCEA (not even deferred) with a 2370 and a 4.0, and now attends Yale (also got into Penn and Harvard). Granted, that's not a waitlist story, but I don't know anyone who was waitlisted. Sorry. :/

if i get into harvard i'm going. new yearly cost = ^^^^^_^

Haha yeah.

man, i think i'm on the brink of insanity. being waitlisted is going to drive me off the deep end. someone say something to bring me back to the real world.

Well that little story cheered me up a little. ^_^
