I got a $1000 Trustee Scholarship for Steinhardt ($500 per semester)

Bump, any others

My EFC isn’t 0, but it’s really low (about 300). I got a 15k/year Gallatin Scholarship and enough in loans and work study to cover the rest of tuition. Hope that helps.

Wait I am confused. Financial aid and scholarships are supposed to be separate. Are you saying that you received ONLY these scholarships, and no financial aid $$?? According to the collegeboard, estimates are that NYU covers around 71% of aid. Giving a student only a 1000 or 150000 scholarship and the rest in loans is not anywhere near that.

Scholarships, grants, loans and work study IS financial aid. When you receive your financial aid award letter, ther is a mix of everything to help cover your Cost of Attendance.
Any scholarships or grants the school gives you is still considered aid.

I am very confused by this. So now I understand that is all included, but how much on average is actually a loan? Besides the scholarships and grants, you need to pay back the rest so what can I expect if accepted?
