Pepper Canyon Hall to Computer Science and Engineering Building in 10 minutes!?

I'm a freshman this year and have no idea how the campus is laid out. I'm trying to figure out my fall schedule right now, and I have two classes I'm set on that only offer one time slot. The problem is they are back to back. My first class is CSE 8A lecture with Cynthia Lee that ends at 9:20 and my second class is a Warren Writing seminar with Holly Bauer that starts at 9:30. Will I be late to class? Is it better to schedule classes an hour apart from each other? And do classes always start on time?

Thanks!

classes almost always start on time and i wouldn’t worry about timing. you can get from one corner of campus to another with a bike (a good thing to have, IMO), although most of the routes between classes can be accomplished in under 10 minutes.

You can easily walk that in 10 minutes. I generally like my classes back to back unless they are multiple long classes in a row in which I’ll add an hour break for lunch.

Classes usually start on time by not always. But you’ll make the walk anyway.

People usually walk about 15 minute miles.

Oh nice, you got Professor Bauer. She’s really good for Warren Writing, way better than the other TAs.

And it is doable. I have taken that route many times under 10 minutes.

How do you already know your classes?

Talk to your warren writing TA or professor about it the first day of class. They’re usually pretty understanding about it.

Pepper Canyon to CSE is a very quick and direct walk, like 5 minutes. It’s better to have your classes back to back if the classrooms are close to each other so you can get your day done faster without interruptions.
