did you send in any financial aid stuff already?

I sent in fafsa way before, but i emailed financial aid office and she told me it is to get an accurate confirmed and not estimated award. And she told me I can fax in the verification forms and tax returns. Still I do not know if this means they have reached a decision about me, or not but I hope i do not end up looking stupid, by getting my hopes up. But I hope we hear soon because other threads from last year heard onor after march 18

I don’t have the to-do list things either… Concerned that maybe it’s a bad sign =

Let’s not lose hope. :)

sunnyiyaz i’m curious, what’re your stats like and where else have you gotten into school?

I’ve gotten into Seattle University, U of Arizona, Arizona State U, Willamette University, and University of the Pacific.

I’m waiting on Santa Clara U and Pepperdine.

Stats wise,
I have a 3.8 weighted GPA. I’ve taken all honors throughout high school, and AP World, AP Language and Comp, AP Stats, AP Psych, and AP Gov. I’ve pulled 3’s on most of these exams and I need to take AP Psych and Gov this semester :)

I did tons of extracurriculars. I’m not Christian, but I’ve done a lot of work through church organizations.

I like to think my reccomendations were good? hahah i never saw them.

SAT was okay. Nothing special. And same with my ACT.

how about you?

Or it could just mean that you turned everything in!
And usually college ask for all students financial aid information…I don’t think we should overanalyze this…unless I misunderstood what was going on!

Did the people without the extra financial aid “todo’s” ever turn in a signed copy of their parents tax returns and complete the dependent worksheet (available in PDF) and send it all in?

Regarding youmadbro, they couldn’t have I went on peps website for financial aid, steps two and three says it is only for the selected students that will show on their wavenet accounts in mid march

I’ve applied to Pepperdine, USC, University of San Diego, Georgetown, UPenn, UChicago, Northwestern, Boston College, and Duke
So far I’ve only gotten into UW-Madison, and got rejected SCEA at Stanford.
I’ve got decent ecs (couple leadership positions in some sports, nhs, etc)
My recs were pretty good (my teachers let me read them) nothing absolutely incredible though lol
I’d like to think my essay was good, but you never know what they’re looking for
UW GPA-4.0
ACT -32

My daughter applied for Fall 2009. We also noticed the Fafsa info. on the “To Do” list. We knew we had already completed that info. so we called the Financial aid office last week. They said that Wavenet is backed up and as long as you have completed your Fafsa and listed Pepperdine then not to worry.

We also asked how and when the Financial Aid packages would be sent out and the woman in financial aid said… On April 1st the Admissions Dept. e-mails the admissions decisions to the Fall 2009 applicants.
Then… the Financial Aid Dept. gets a list from the Admissions dept. of the accepted students and then they make there decisions as to the financial aid packages and then… the applicants are notified 5 to 7 days after the admissions decisions come out.

That gives us all about 3 weeks to make a decision!

Good Luck to all!"

I found this message in another thread on cc. It looks to me like the financial aid office isn’t even aware of who is accepted until after emails have gone out. Typically at many schools the financial aid offices and admissions offices don’t even communicate directly until acceptances go out. Hopefully this means the wavenet updates aren’t really an indicator of admission or not :)

Jac2011 would you mind posting the link to that? I hate to be the dick who assumes it but I’m thinking it’s a good clue for us who have the financial aid “to do’s” at least I would like to think so. We won’t know for sure until we get an email with a decision. Good luck to all!

Yeah that’s why I’m researching everyday so I won’t look dumb but go to pepperdine.edu then click on the admissions tab and click financial aid, then it will list the various colleges, since I applied to Seaver I clicked that then scrolled down and clicked application procedures

And please if you do not have the to do lists don’t worry, this probably means nothing and I’m maybe over exaggerating. Maybe it’s for wait listed people, or it could be for anything.
But good luck to everyone

I just noticed the same financial aid to-dos in my account. From what I remembered pepperdine said they would request additional information if needed. Like others I think this might be a good sign…but I’m kind of concerned that I will have to wait longer for a financial aid package…which it what I’m really waiting for.

Will we for sure find out everything by April 1?

‘We also noticed the Fafsa info. on the “To Do” list.’

I don’t think this has to do with whats going on. It’s more like she had something on the list that had been submitted. If they wanted to put something on the todo list for all applicants at one time I’m sure their servers would be able to handle that. And it seems like those who got the to do list update got it at the same time about a week and a half ago? Idk were all getting jittery over nothing, anxiety.

I don’t think any university would put out any “hints” as to who has been admitted or not. (Although I kind of wish thats how it could be).
I was kind of hoping to get some sort of an email today from Pepperdine saying anything about mailing out decisions, but nothing. I really hope they don’t take until April 1st!

Of course no intentional “hints”…

ahhhh four more days! I’ve been trying to keep myself busy during the day so it seems like it goes by faster. Desperate much? hahahaha

My friend got in today! I think acceptances are slowly coming out! AHHH
