Hello, I recently was accepted to Pepperdine into the Regents program, so Pepperdine is a major contender for me. My plan has always been to major in Computer Science, so I applied into the Computer Science/Philosophy major (the mathematics’ physics concerned me).
Recently, I’ve been researching the program and I keep finding posts from a few years ago about how the courses are limited and Pepperdine’s computer science program is sub-par. Is this still the case, or has it improved? The Pepperdine website says there are only two computer science faculty - is that a problem?
Should I be concerned about the program, or use it as an opportunity to be apart of a growing major? If it’s genuinely unwise to partake in, I would definitely consider changing my major to something like business administration and minor in computer science instead.
Thanks, and hopefully a Pepperdine computer science major finds this! Note: This is in regard to the 2018-19 school year.
