<p>So, I love Pepperdine. If they offered me the right FA, I would ADORE attending. But here is my issue with their admission process:
There are a ton of high caliber schools (HYP, USC, etc) that will not tell you until March-ish (or even April), whether you got in and the FA you got (in the same way Pepperdine does). I am not counting the UC's because they give practically no merit aid and the FA from these schools is easy to figure out.
But schools similar to Pepperdine (LMU, TCU, SMU, USD, Chapman, Tulane) all send out notifications earlier or have EA options where you can be accepted much earlier. This is really irritating to me (and others I know) because some of us were made aware of fantastic acceptances and scholarships in January-February, and Pepperdine waits until the very last minute, making it tempting to accept other schools offers while you are stuck hoping that Pepperdine will accept you.
So basically, why does Pepperdine not do an EA/ED option? :(</p>
<p>Because Pepperdine is much harder to get into than all of those schools. Whereas they have acceptance rates around 45-50%, Pepperdine’s is around 25-30%.</p>

<p>Tulane’s admission rate is under 25%. It’s more difficult to get into than Pepperdine.</p>
<p>TCU is about 35% as well…</p>
<p>I don’t want to sound mean, but Pepperdine is much better than TCU, SMU, etc.</p>
