Pepperdine Class of 2023 EA Thread

Deferred. My friend told me I guess a bunch of people got deferred for some reason

You can’t get out of an early decision contract. If you knew you wanted to go to Pepperdine you shouldn’t have ED anywhere.

@autumnspring I heard that schools will let you out of an ED contract only if your circumstances have changes dramatically - like your parents have lost their jobs and are no longer able to pay. The only way I see that you could then turn around and go to another college is if that college gave you much better financial aid than your ED school.

Pepperdine is my backup school but given the highly competitive applicant pool at Ivies and other T15s this year, I might end up enrolling here.

Best of luck to the deferred candidates. Perhaps I’ll see y’all in Malibu this fall! :slight_smile:

Does anyone know the highest amount of merit aid Pepperdine gives out? And what the stats are of those students who typically get that scholarship?

Decision: Accepted EA
Major: International Business

SAT: 1260
Super Strong Unique ECs, Briefed the Vice President, Elected National Representative, etc

Hey guys I just want to be sure but when is Pepperdine’s regular decision due?

@rjsharp7
The top 10% of admitted students in a given year are granted merit scholarships. Most of them receive $30,000 annually, while the very top students receive $36,000. Personally I’m hoping for the 36 since Pepperdine is so expensive.

Does anyone know the (aprrox) usual release date for scholarships each year?
