Pepperdine Class of 2025 -- EA &RD

Nothing yet in daughter’s portal, she said. ; )

Does anyone think they could be going out today if the athletes got their decision? Or maybe tomorrow?

Last year I thought I read emails are sent out. Not sure if it comes to portals
first??

Right. I’m not sure if it comes to both and at same time, or just email. Either way, she hasn’t heard.

Acceptances have come out first in the past (not sure if true for all release years), but as quiet as it seems I am thinking this may have indeed been for athletics.

Still thinking it will be out by tomorrow evening, if they are at all able. But just my guess.

I spoke with Admissions today to change our home address. The admissions counselor told me EA decisions will be E-MAILED by the end of this week. There will NOT be a notification in the portal.

I am curious if end of the week is in reference to Friday or Sunday. Wishing results would come out today or tomorrow…fingers crossed.

So there you have it – email and I’d say by day’s end Friday emdouts24, is what they are projecting.

And I believe the full scholarships last night were for the well-deserved winners of the Posse Foundation merit.

Does anyone think that there is a chance decisions will be released tonight?

Sorry. I should have been more clear. The end of the business week (Friday, not Sunday)

Did anyone else get a Christmas card in the mail from Pepperdine? Like it had my name written in it and everything and they drew a little Christmas tree in there HAHA. I’m praying that tomorrow is the actual date because I don’t think I can handle waiting anymore!!!

Anyone know if merit scholarships will come out today as well?

@snertles My daughter did NOT. So, now, something else to stress about because it might be an indication of admission. Are you local to Pepperdine, or at least in California? Or a member of the Church of Christ?

I’m confused on how I got it as well! I do live in California and am in the Church of Christ. The only thing I can think of is I did the optional admission interview. Two of my other friends did not get it either, and they didn’t do the interview. I’ve been trying to figure this out since I got it!

My daughter did the optional essay, as well (no optional college essay is really optional, is it?). I think it has to do with you being a member of the Church of Christ and possibly the interview. My daughter did not do the interview, but as far as I know she was never offered that option. She did interviews with two other colleges. Since this isn’t my first rodeo helping navigate a kid through this crazy process, we know to take/do everything that a school throws at you (optional essays, interviews, virtual tours, etc.). Anyway, if this thread is correct, tonight is the night, so no more waiting and worrying. Good luck!!! @snertles

Try not to stress too hard antiquedealermom. (I know - easy to say). I think many who gain admission today, as much as we all admire Pepperdine, will be taking a pause to consider the precarious state of California these days, anyway. Whatever the case may be, I hope it all works out well for you & yours & all of us!!

I wouldn’t stress too much! It is just a Christmas card after all. :yum: I believe everyone was offered the interview but you really had to look for it. It doesn’t lower any chances of acceptance, it can only help you, so I wouldn’t worry. I still wonder why I got it because everyone else I’ve asked hasn’t. I’m hoping that we all get accepted today!!! We should all check back when letters come out or we know our admission decision. Good luck everyone!!! :heartpulse:

My daugter just heard she’s in. I hope y’all who have been here through all this excitement have this great option on the table as well! Merit by 1-20, it said, as well as it being an exceptionally competitive year. So, for all those in - congrats! - and those for whom it isn’t as hoped, I am sure you are worthy of other amazing opportunities.
