Pepperdine Transfer

I currently am enrolled at community college. After this semester I will have completed 43 units with a GPA of 3.35. I am very involved with volunteering at my local church. I have received an award from my community college for my volunteer hours and a “future teacher of excellence certificate”. At the end of this year I will have completed a total of 63 units. I plan to apply for fall of 2016. Pepperdine is my dream school and I wanted any advice on how to better my chances on getting in. My GPA isn’t very high but I have great references and a lot of extracurricular activities.

Hey! I’m also applying for transfer at Pepperdine for fall 2016, and also applying from a community college. Do you know if they usually meet financial aid need?
I read up some posts on here about transferring and one person said they were accepted with 3.92 and lots of community service/ religious work. I’m not involved with a church of christ but am pretty involved in my own religion (i’m going to try and bid on the whole religious diversity and “all morals are the same”) but I’ve heard mixed stuff about how having alot of church involvement really helps your application!

Good luck!!
Also, don’t you think its strange how early the deadline is??

Hi there!! I’m applying to transfer for the Fall 2016 semester, too. I know that Pepperdine weighs volunteering a lot during the application process, and it’ll look especially good to have a letter of recommendation from your church! Good luck you guys
I’m applying as a nutrition major, 4.0 GPA, and over 60 credits completed. The part that’s giving me the most trouble are the personal essays, honestly!
