pepperdine transfer

Hi new to this forum and been looking around for a while though. I was wondering has anyone transfered to pepperdine, and if so what did they do to help them get in? as of now i go to Tiffin university taking gen ed with a 4.0 gpa, i am active in a church organization and am an actice volunteer for chid advocates. I am hoping to get in but i dont know what else i need to do to insure my acceptance. Any help would be great.

Oh yea also i am looking into university of southern california but i know this would be a little more difficult. Any suggestions or transfers with advice would be great to.

I got accepted to Pepperdine as a transfer this year. I’m not going to accept it (as I’m going elsewhere) but I had a 3.92 with a little over 90 units. I took at the required classes etc. and had great work / community service activities. Money and a good religious background never hurts to get into Pepperdine ;)

oh what do u mean by the required classes? and i am not a rich kid lol so i dont got that part going for me, but i am very church affiliated and i am mormon if that helps or hurts me i dont know.

Well, you have to keep in mind Pepperdine is Jesuit and they are related to the Catholic faith. You going to Pepperdine is like me saying I want to go to BYU.

Jacob

well to me it does not matter i just like to be around good morals as a whole… Do you think they discriminate due to religious affiliation? or are they just looking for someone who is involved with their faith?

I hope it doesn’t matter what denomination faith you are (I’m not Jesuit) but some schools do “magically” accept more of one kind of student than another. Have you check out BYU?

i dont really wanna go to utah, i live in cali and wanna keep it that way. lol i will just have to see what happens. but anyway what extra curriculars were you involved in? do u think i need more than just what im doing now( voulunteer for a big brother sort of organization.) i need some sugestions

I had lots of church activites, work experience, and some community service. You should be just fine…

Jc is lieing u can’t transfer with more then 70 units from a cc FYI

yeah they are seriously lying. it clearly states on the transfer page. don’t listen to them.
btw. pepperdine loves ecs and leadership roles.

Pepperdine is not Jesuit, it’s Church of Christ affiliated.

I actually heard it’s not that difficult to transfer to from my academic counselor, considering you have a good GPA and EC’s. I just graduated high school but I’m a sophomore at CCC with an AA and almost 60 units + tons of EC’s on and off campus + 3.8 GPA and apparently I have a very good shot.
