Pepperdine U or U of Denver??

Hey! I am an international freshman, hesitating between Pepperdine U and U of Denver. I got 14,000/y scholarship from Denver, but no money from Pepperdine.
Can anyone give me any advices????! Thank uuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!! Deadline of confirmation is 1 May!~

Thank you!
Samantha

I don't know about U of Denver but believe the skiing is great. Pepperdine is very Social (surfing and beach life), but most importantly, it would help a lot if you where a fan of Pepperdine, religious mission.

They are two completely different atmospheres... you should do a campus visit to both and see what you would like better.. Pepperdine is very religious and UDenver I dont think is? They are such completely different areas you have to do a visit and decide what you like better.. trust me you will either love one or the other. I had to decide between UMiami and CU-Boulder.. I thought I'd love both but it turns out UMiami was a huge fit and CU wasn't.. It's all about what YOU like!

Pepperdine is very Social

was supposed to say "SoCal"

Do you love skiiing or surfing? Pepperdine has a beautiful campus. But $14K is a lot of help.

Thank u all for ur information! Since i am an international student, it seems impossible for me to visit the campuses......i think i like the atomshere in Denver more...but i wish to transfer to UCBerkeley second year. Will it be easier if i enrol at Pepperdine?

Pepperdine has a relatively low acceptance rate ( 25%?), and the application is a little more work with some very pointed questions. It will be hard to look like a "fit" if you just want to go to transfer.

My middle son is finishing up his freshman year at University of Denver, where he is a very happy business major. He hit the slopes three times this winter, too busy on campus to go more. He likes the academics and the city--there are a lot of great internships available. The students are very electic--not everyone is a winter sports enthusiast although the location of the school does attract a lot of them.
