percentage of internationals at WPI

hey there,

Im hoping that a current student can answer my questions..
how many internationals do you see at WPI...coz it seems like A LOT seem to be accepted..do most of them end up coming...
Also, do the internationals stick together? or get along with the local crowd as well..

Hopefully a current or former student will give their perspective. In the mean time, I will give you my perspective as the parent of a freshman. According to WPI’s website, about 10% of students are international. I think whether the international students stick together or integrate with local students really varies with the student and how involved s/he chooses to get with campus activities. My daughter has several friends from other countries who she has met through the activities that she is involved in.

WPI has always attracted international students. My husband went to WPI for both undergraduate and graduate school and has / had many international friends from back then.

You can always get a fair amount of info from every college’s “Common Data Set”. Google the college’s name and “common data set” to find it.

From WPI (the most current CDS is 2012); The number of admitted “Non-resident aliens” first year students is 140 out of a total of 1005 first year students. It was 427 out of 3746 for the whole student body.

thanks a lot for the responses :)

In my post above; “admitted” should have been “enrolled”
