This year Yale admitted 19.7% of the Early Action pool, deferred 61.4%, and denied 18%.

thanks mucho

Do you have the state stats for previous years?

That is the number of who applied, not accepted. I heard that 20% were accepted early, 20% were rejected, and 60% were deferred. Not exact

does anyone have the amount of RD applicants that applied compared to last year?

elihopeful, where did you find those numbers?

(I am EliHopeful) When I accessed my online decision I got a screen with my deferral letter and a link to those statistics.

How many students were deferred?

This year Yale admitted 19.7% of the Early Action pool, deferred 61.4%, and denied 18%.

^obtained from EA Online Decisions website

Ohhh , okay! That makes sense now. I was a little shocked to see my state (NC) with so many acceptees...

does it have acceptance by state as well?

No, I really wanted that info but I think you should ask someone who got accepted, that info has not been made available to the rest of us

There were 12 students accepted from NC.

12/67 applicants is 18%...Interesting how well that lines up with the 19% acceptance rate

Ah, ok.. thanks 2007senior. Where did you get this info?

OMG! China 83!!! far more than India's Singapore's and UK's...

I counted the number of entries under NC from the “Blue Marble” link on the Admits’ website. I didn’t want to count the number of people from every state, and that's why I only posted the number for NC.

NY had 106/439 get in. 24% admit rate.
