Hey guys.

I've received a 32 on the ACT on the 2 times I have taken it.

1st time--(31 E/33 M/29 R/34 S)
2nd time-- (32 E/30 M/34 R/33 S)

I dropped 3 points in Math, but went up 5 points in Reading the second time.

Superscored....and some colleges do do this----> 33

Anyway, this is the national score---> percentile chart on the ACT Website

36-----> 99%
35-----> 99%
34-----> 99%
33-----> 99%
32-----> 99%*****
31-----> 98%
30-----> 96%

I am at the edge of the 99th Percentile. If you look at percentiles alone, only <1% of all test-takers score above a 32 on the ACT each year. So, does it REALLY matter if I increase the score to a 33 or a 34? (35/36 is not very likely for me). Percentile is all the same, but it is honestly just 1 or 2 questions on the test.

Any comments are apppreeeeciaaateeeddd =)

bump…

i know people know stuff about this =P

I don’t know much about this, but in my opinion it makes a difference. I also got a 32 and will be retaking.

Well a 34 is better than a 32 just as a 27 is better than a 25 - so every bit helps, but I doubt it will be the difference between being accepted or rejected at a school.

It seems that there are increasingly more people with higher scores on the ACT. In 2008 a 32 dropped to a 98.9%, rounded to a 99. And a 31 dropped to a 97%. So keep going for more, as I have a 32 atm and am retaking in September.

most colleges do NOT superscore the ACT, so take that into consideration.

Apppreciate it.

Yea…but I mean, can’t we be happy that we score higher on the ACT than 99% of the people who take it? =P

I do plan on re-taking it a 3rd time in September. I just hope to do well =)
Good luck to you guys as well.

Any additional info on this is very much appreciated as well!
