Perfect 800 On Writing

I was wondering how rare it is to get a perfect 800 (12 essay, 80 MC subscore) in the writing section of the SAT, as in no multiple choice wrong and a 12 essay (same sitting). I recently achieved this and want to know how impressive it looks to colleges--the ones that look at writing.

It is very rare. (I assume that less than 20 percent of those with 800 in Writing achieve this.) I do not expect, however, that colleges will view it materially differently than they would any other 800.

Silverturtle, you still planning on writing that ‘How to attack the Writing Section of the SAT Guide’? I’m looking forward to reading it.

^ I intend to write a comprehensive guide to the SAT (as well as some admissions topics) this summer.

I’ve gotten 800 on the Writing section three times now but I’ve never accomplished a “perfect Writing”

I’ve gotten
800 10 E
800 10 E
770 12 E

Does a “superscored” perfect writing count? haha

@masjenbu12: What did you get on the March SAT?

I just got a perfect writing score on the March SAT. I don’t think colleges can even see the individual writing subscores so it probably doesn’t matter.
