PLEASE HELP ME!! Thank you :)

I would seek out small liberal arts colleges (LACs) in the midwest where your international background will be especially sought after-sorry about the weather! Your SAT verbal scores are low so that will limit you somewhat. I assume you are taking the TOFL. Google the Common Data Set for each school and compare your grades, test scores and class rank to the distribution for each school-you would need to be in the top 25% to get significant financial aid.

Reaches: Macalester, Grinnell, Oberlin
Matches: Lawrence, Beloit, Kalamazoo (to name just a few)

I’m sure others can name more.

I forgot to mention that my intended major is Psychology. How is psychology programs in those schools you mentioned?

You should consider Clark University in Worcester, MA. It offers merit scholarships for international students (although your GPA is a little low, if you are at the top of your class, that would probably make a difference) and has a very strong psychology department. It’s a small university (about 2000 students) with about 8% international students. Although Worcester is a little shabby, it’s relatively close to Boston.

You might also consider schools where the total COA is less than $30,000. Some schools that would fit would be SUNY-New Paltz, UNC-Asheville and University of Minnesota (probably a reach because of your SAT scores and sorry it’s cold) and Western Washington University (approximately $30,000).

Most LACs in the top 50+ will have decent psychology programs. Its a very popular major. Check the course catalog on line for each school to assess the breadth and depth of the course offerings, and to see if there are any special programs offered.

Being Thai, most colleges will understand your CR scores being low. Your math scores are fine.

West Coast: Santa Clara University, University of San Diego, University of Portland, Lewis and Clark College, Willamette University, Seattle University, Gonzaga University, University of Puget Sound.

West Coast public schools: University of Washington, Western Washington University, University of Oregon, UC-Santa Cruz, UCSD, UC-Irvine, UC-Davis.

Good luck.
