Perfect PSAT Score, now what?

I luckily got a perfect PSAT score and just found out right now that selective summer programs for high school students often require the PSAT score in the application. I was wondering what programs I should consider applying to. I haven’t taken the SAT yet and took the ACT and got a 33 but my score is a bit weird (35,36,35,26). My AP scores are all trash because I didn’t study. I have a solid GPA though.

try stanford, columbia and etc! you will get in probably, you should be able to.

Hopefully that transfers to a perfect SAT  Also I bet you could improve a lot on the 26, if the SAT doesn’t work out.

@medrunner1998 Haha thanks. I hope so too. I definitely will be practicing the reading and science sections and retaking.

@derpthulu Do you mean the summer camps for those schools?

@harvardbound24 Congrats on your perfect score. I don’t think any of the college summer programs mentioned above and elsewhere with high price tags are terribly competitive. Instead of focusing on what you can get into, what do you want to do this summer? What passions do you have that you can engage in, further, etc that will show colleges that your stated passion is genuine and not just a statement on your application?

@ThinkOn I agree. I was looking more into programs like RSI, TASP, and Yale Young Global Scholars. To be honest, while I understand that this summer is incredibly important and should be very well spent, I’m not sure of a specific passion I could pursue that would be of greater value than participating in a selective summer program.

TASP won’t ask for your PSAT score until after you make the first cut based on essays, and RSI requires a bit of background in research. But agree, both are very selective and totally worthy of pursuing. For YYGS program, I know of many who have attended without great stats. If your passion and background are based on research, there are many selective programs that are comparable to RSI. Look in the summer programs section of the forum which discusses them in length. Good luck!
