Got a perfect last year, however I don't think my GPA is going to change much this year. Is this enough for schools like George Washington, Ann Arbor, HARVARD, Chapel Hill?

Note: For all the meanies out there, keep thy disparagement to thyself.

Good job. Great shot for all! (although, as others have said, Harvard and all ivys a reach for everyone). My friend’s dad had a perfect SAT and a 4.0 GPA, and didn’t get in to Princeton.

Harvard - All depends on what your senior grades are looking like for the first semester. If they see an upward trend, they might consider that a good thing and admit you no matter if your GPA was lacking before. But then again, Harvard is not a guarantee to anybody.

it really depends on the rigor of your course load and what you’ve done out of school too. If you’ve been taking the hardest possible classes and have a valid reason (other than just laziness, etc) for your deficient grades, it sounds like your transcript might be passable. But if all you’ve got is that perfect score and only middling extracurricular activities, harvard looks to be out of the picture.

I think you should apply to university of chicago, washington university in st. louis, and possibly tufts. Those are some very good schools which are willing to overlook a lower GPA if there are other stats are there.

You’ll get into most schools, but probably not Harvard. They and the other top 10 get the privilege of demanding it all, they reject most 4.0s, most 2400s and most valedictorians.
