Perfect SATs?

<p>I got 2230 on my first try. Math is 710. Should I try once more so I can apply for ivys? I am interested in engineering schools- especially MIT. Thanks!</p>

<p>If you’re applying to MIT, it would be prudent to do very well on the SAT II Math Level 2 to bolster your SAT I score. </p>

<p>You can apply to Ivies with a 2230.</p>

<p>for MIT engineering, if you are really up for it, you could take it again and hopefully improve your score. it could give you a better chance.</p>

<p>I got 710 in math, better in reading and writing. Dont feel like redoing at all! But can I just retake math part? Is that allowed?</p>

<p>i say just do extremely well on sat math2c to makeup for the 710.</p>

<p>Depends on your potential to do better on the SAT by retaking it. If you made a lot of careless errors and didn’t prep much, then by all means retake it. I got a 2360 (2370 superscore) after getting a 2250 the first time, and it has opened many doors for me in terms of admissions and (especially) scholarships. If that 710 in math came after hundreds of hours of SAT prep, though, then chances are you won’t do much better retaking it.</p>

<p>Thanks all! I did not prep much- but I’ll retake in the fall & use the summer to prep better this time. Wish me luck!</p>
