No, not on the SAT, but rather on the PSAT. does this earn me any CC street cred?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs.

of course!

wow! r u a junior or soph? if your a soph, INCREDIBLE! did u study at all!?

Don’t you already have a 2370 (or is it 2380) SAT score?

junior. took 7(or 8…cant remember) practice tests over the summer, studied all my answers(both correct and incorrect) closely. also took 10/4 SAT(result:2370) which got me really sharpened up

^yeah so now all u have to do is take the real SAT again and go for the perfect!

pics or it didn’t happen.

^his guidance cons. might have just showed him the score

u get scholarship for getting perfect psat. theres no way u wont get some kinda financial aid.

IMPORTANT QUESTION: what was ur score b4 u took the 8 tests in the summer?

240 PSAT isn’t that impressive imho. It’s much easier to make dumb mistakes on the full SAT :P

No one told you this yet (not this particular thing!), so allow me to be the first: Congratulations! That’s amazing! :)

^u dont necessairly get a scholarship for a perfect PSAT

once u pass the min. criteria, everyone is on a level playing field

ex. let’s say the cutoff is 210

someone who gets a 240 has no advantage over someone getting a 210

If u’re talking about colleges, I would assume he’s applyin to top colleges who really don’t care about PSAT

However, he does have a outstanding SAT but top colleges see those all the time too

oh please answer some of the debated questions.

thanks static. orange peel, i got a 2200 on the first practice test i took. i also got a 2080 in 8th grade for the talent search thing.

^did u do anything other than prac tests? (mem vocab?)

yeah, share your wisdom :o please :)

^ no. i’m just good at breaking apart sentence completions into pieces of data(roots, context, etc.), and then using that data to find the answer. but i also read a lot when i was younger and retained much of the vocab due to a good memory.

general advice: practice tests are the most efficient use of your time. vocab memorizing, devising strategies, going on CC, and all these other things…are much less effective.

^You’re also an XC runner.

Oh my goodness! That’s GREAT! Congrats!!!

I did a ton of practice tests too…but I didn’t review the ones I got right…I should do that next time. I did the same thing you did…took the Oct SAT and then the PSAT…I got a 2230 SAT.(dont know PSAT score yet) which I was pleased with since I didn’t really study…just did a bunch practice tests. Anyways, I’m really going to STUDY this summer. Any advice/words of wisdom would be appreciated!

Again, congrats! That’s really amazing!

Oh one more question!

If you get a perfect score on the PSAT does that mean you got every single questions right?
