Perfect vs. Imperfect

<p>Say if you were an admission counselor at Harvard, a guy with a 3.9 GPA files an application in, which would you find more acceptable?
A) All A/A+s, but one C;
B) All A/A+s, but five A-s.</p>

<p>We know that a 4.0 is entirely better and Harvard doesn't give reasons to reject 4.0s. Now if you have a 3.9 ... with all other criteria met, how are your chances affected?</p>

<p>I have a 3.97 with four A-s and I was accepted RD. I believe that it would depend on the context.</p>
