My daughter attended in LA last year. It was a good opportunity to talk to a lot of schools at one time, and it was helpful in narrowing down the list of schools to which she wanted to apply. Several of the schools had local alumni representing the school instead of admissions officers, but it was useful to hear the former students’ perspectives on the strengths and weaknesses of the program.

I highly recommend this fair. I attended it both my Junior and Senior years. I probably would not have applied to schools like Hartt and UArts (my decision came down to those two and I will attend Hartt) It was a great opportunity to find schools I had not heard of yet or to get more info on those I was interested in.

It was also just exciting to go and look at schools. I would really recommend attending even if you think you know where you are applying you might be surprised.

Looks promising. Thanks for the info!

Does anyone know when or where info on the attendees at each stop will be announced? I’d hate to truck all the way up to LA to find that two-thirds of the schools I’m looking at are not in attendance…

When I spoke with the contact person from the website - they mentioned to simply keep an eye on the website for further details as each fair comes to fruition. And, as an fyi, they were very quick to respond to the telephone message I left via the posted phone number.

Good, good. So the list of schools in attendance will grow as time goes on and more exhibitors are confirmed?

Hello! This is the source for the Performing and Visual Arts College Fairs! We appreciate all of the positive comments about the program. These events take place every fall in cities nation-wide. Currently, there are 19 Performing and Visual Arts College Fairs (PVA’s, for short). Please visit [PVA Information for Parents and Students](http://www.nacacnet.org/pvastudent). From there you can see the complete schedule, find out which schools are attending, and read more information to better prepare the student and parent for the fair and speaking with colleges in general.

Although each fair city brings different college and universities, all art-related disciplines are present, and it’s an incredible opportunity if you are interested in furthering education in the arts!

Right now, we are working on more details on each fair, and they should be up mid-July. As was mentioned in a previous post, colleges and universities are continuously registering for these events. Feel free to check now, but checking back near the end of August would give you a more comprehensive list.

I will be posting more information as we draw closer to the fairs. If you have any questions, please feel free to email myself at lduffey@nacacnet.org or collegefairs@nacacnet.org.

Also, if you have any suggestions of where else we can post to help get the word out, it would be much appreciated!
