Performing Arts Programs--Musical Theater

I am wondering what 4 Year Universities/Colleges have the best performing arts programs for Musical Theater...

Syracuse, Carnegie Mellon, and others

It's not as easy as that. It depends on your strengths and weaknesses. For instance, a local program I know turns out very good singers and dancers, but is well known for turning actors who spend all their time mugging through their roles. If you are weak in acting, this would NOT be the place to go (though musical theater rarely requires the same sort of acting skills required in some kinds of non-musical theater).

There is an incredible thread on that will give you so much info on MT that it will make your head spin. Go back to the list of forums and look for musical theatre Ian
