What are your favorite things about Northwestern? I got accepted earlier :) and wanted to know what are your favorite things about the school.

Definitely the proximity to Chicago (and Daddy’s office). I also always felt like NU was a little more relaxed than other Ivy League-caliber schools, which I liked. And I wanted a school that gave value to the humanities. When I chose NU as my top choice, it was because I discovered there are multiple majors for writers alone, which is awesome.

NU has its own beach

Northwestern is full of intelligent, unique students who are capable of getting good grades AND having fun. The school is beautiful, it’s in a great area (Evanston has THE BEST places to eat, and Chicago is so conveniently nearby.), and the faculty/staff really cares about their students. The freshmen seminars are a great way to set up college advising and get students interested in learning right away.
I could go on forever, but I won’t. I am totally in love with Northwestern.

Kaplan Humanities Scholars Program. The amazing Office of Fellowships Staff. NU Athletics. The Residential College System (well not really but still). The Beauty of the Lake. That BK is the only place open 24/7 (not awesome, but in a way it is. You’ll discover why). So many many other things. Congratulations to all the newly admitted students. I really wish I could trade places with you and do it all again…
