So let me get this straight -- once you submit your common app you can no longer change anything under the common app section (family, demographics, tests, writing, etc) for ANY other school you are going to apply to. So if i send my application to Princeton on 12/15, my common app is now unchangeable for any of the schools I might apply to after that date?

However, when I submit my Princeton app on 12/15, I can still mess with my SUPPLEMENTS for other schools, right? Just not the common app part?

Actually, you can make alternate versions of your application and assign each copy to a different school. This allows you to send in an application to Princeton in December withouth making your application inaccessible if you want to change some info around for other schools.

For instructions on how to do this, go to the commonapp page, click on Help in the top right corner and search for alternate versions.

Hope this helped!

P.S. : Be sure that you send the application to at least one school first. That’s the only way that they allow you to make an alternate version.
