Okay i live in California
Im 16 and I want to get a permit
now i heard u need to take drivers ed classes?
is this true?
and do u do this b4 u get ur permit or b4 u get ur license?
thank u

you need drivers ed before your permit if your under 18, then you take behind the wheel[verified proof is needed] then take driving test. if youre 18 you dont need BTW or Drivers ed to take permit or drivers test

^nope

Take online drivers ed

Get a certificate of completion for drivers ed by finishing the course.

Take certificate to a behind the wheel training instructor, enroll, have him/her give you a certificate saying you enrolled in a behind the wheel training course.

Schedule a Permit test appointment, take these two forms to the DMV, pass the test.

You now have a Permit. Now you can finish your behind the wheel course. Get alot of practice in the 6 months you have between permit and license.

After 6 months, schedule a license test.

I am a licensed driver in California.

mm awesome
ill get to it
so for legal prove? u need to be a U.S citizen and a social number right?
well to tell u the truth im so lazy i have no idea if I am either one. I came to this country LEGALLY!!! 5 years ago, so does that make me a U.S citizen? and im not sureee if i have SS#. sorry im 16, i dont care bout those things =)

^thereach my answer was correct too, only i mentioned traditional drivers ed not the online version, ok. gosh. sorry rant.

nvm i do have SS#

you have to take driver’s ed whether it is online or in the class room. but i will say that taking the class in a class room is more fun… online you have your parents watching all that you do…

Some people take drivers ed before their permit. I read the drivers manual then took I only got one wrong. But you have to take drivers ed in order to get your license if you’re under 18. It’ll also give you a discount off insurance.
