perplexed

I'm this fall as an undergraduate freshman.
My major is undecided, and I'm a bit confused what to do.
I wanted to take courses focused more towards engineering and medicine (or biology in general)

I didn't clear the math placement exam yet because I'm OOS of state, and I don't fulfill any requirement that waives the exam's requirement.
So I still have to take the Math placement exam in september, and then i'll enroll in a math class.

I can't take chemistry until I"m done with an introductory math course.
I can't take bio until I'm done with the introductory chem course.

But I got a 5 in AP Biology.
Also a 4 and 4 on AP Micro/Macro -economics.

What do I enroll in?

chem 6a, a writing class, and a GE. just get yourself as many classes as your units will allow.

(consider the chem placement test? at least that'll help you decide between chem 6a and chem 4)

I can't take chem until i'm done with an intro math course!

i'm not saying to take/enroll in chem 6a - more likely than not, you'll join the majority of freshmen in math 10a/20a (you should know whether you're cut out for that class by now). you'll have your choice of chem 4 or 6a, and it's not a bad thing to know how your chemistry stands, so when it DOES come time to pick, at least you'll be ready.
