I logged onto the SIS page today to see if my midterm report had been filed. I notice looking at my checklist that I am not only complete, but according to the symbol, my admission decision is ready! Wow, great! [url=http://imgur.com/CWGVo]imgur: the simple image sharer/url. However upon clicking the link, nervously hoping to see a big "Congratulations" I get this page: [url=http://imgur.com/MStmi]imgur: the simple image sharer/url. I am not sure what is happening - I fully expect that it is just some sort of error and that my decision, in fact, has not been made, but I thought I would throw this up here and see if anyone knew any specifics.

You have to wait until January 31st to see the result. That’s the date that decisions are released.

But that means they have already made a decision if you’ve got a green checkmark? Hm. That’s both exciting and vaguely unsettling at the same time.

Nope, decisions are NOT ready. We are still reading. There is no way we’d be a month early in light of the number of applications we got.

Read this: [Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: Some notes about whast you see in SIS](Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: Some notes about what you see in SIS)

Then read this: [Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: Early Action Notification (a “no update” update)](Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: Early Action Notification (a "no update" update))

You now know TWO things that are exceptionally important…

Where you will see your decision when it is ready. Believe it or not some people will have problems with this (some will not have even logged into SIS!).

Where to go for the most accurate and up to date information…Dean J’s blog! (note the amazing search feature so you can see if your question has been addressed before, even in previous years). She will announce on her blog first if decisions will be announced any earlier than January 31. Now I know, that’s information you want straight from the source as soon as it’s released. If you subscribe, you’ll be the first to know! :)

Best of luck! I know the waiting is hard. You are almost there!
