Stupidly enough, I took the ACT in April without taking the Writing section and I got a 33. Since most colleges that consider the ACT REQUIRE the Writing section, I'm definitely going to take it again with writing. Is my first score useless because I didn't take the writing section? Or can your score from the writing section combine with the composite score from another test? In other words, if I get a 30 composite score and an 8 on the Writing section the next time I take it, will the 33 (from the first test without writing) be used with the 8, or will the 30 be used with the 8? Sorry for making this more complicated than it should be! Thanks for your help!
