Has anyone else received one of these? I have from St. Johns and Tulane, with both waiving the application fee. St. Johns also doesn't require any recs or essays, and I find out my decision in 2 weeks. For Tulane, I find out in 4 weeks, with optional essays(not sure about the recs).

I was wondering if anyone had any more information on these. Is there any fine print(I don't want to be forced to go to these universities)? Have any of you done them before? These schools weren't on my list, but it'd be nice to have a really early acceptance. I just want to know what I'm getting into before I do.

There's no fine print; it's a way for the schools to increase their application pool and perhaps to woo some qualified students who otherwise might not apply. Take a look at their websites and see if you might actually be interested in the schools. If so, there's no downside to applying. And yes, having an acceptance in hand is a really nice thing.

Id apply to those schools too if I didn't have to give recs or essays or money. I'm still waiting for them to give em to me, I've only recieved one of those kind so far. (2260 SAT, 214 PSAT)
