<p>after all, the government keeps records of your performance in school anyways.</p>
<p>and with advances in info tech, this isn't unrealistic at all.</p>
<p>basically, all of a student's educational plans can be registered with a central database.</p>
<p>so each lesson is recorded in the database, along with records of whether the student demonstrated mastery of the lesson or not</p>
<p>the student carries the database along with him, and should then be able to avoid review. if a class has review, he can simply opt for an independent study session instead.</p>
<p>privacy concerns are there of course, but the information can only be accessed by those who would have been able to access student grades anyways - so there's no breach of privacy that's larger than what has been there before.</p>
<p>this is supposed to benefit the student - and the student should have the option not to disclose his files, if he so desires.</p>
